All engines, transmissions, fuel system components and turbochargers do have core charges.
We do not charge the core up front. We allow the customer 30 days to return the core for inspection. We do this as a courtesy to our customers, so they don't have to spend so much money up front to get their order in. We do ask that everyone please get your cores back as soon as possible as we are always needing cores.
At the time of arrival, we will disassemble the core and inspect the parts to ensure they are good usable cores. If any of the parts are damaged beyond repair and/or not usable, those core charges will be billed to the customer at that time.
Core charges are as follows. We break these down into individual components so if the customer only has one or two bad pieces, they don't have to pay the full core charge. They will only pay for the damaged pieces. If everything checks out ok, there will be no core charges.
For engines- $600 for engine block. $600 for cylinder head, $600 for crankshaft.
Fuel system and turbochargers- $300 for cp3 injection pump, $200 per injector($1200 per set), $300 for 5.9L turbocharger. $700 for 6.7L Turbocharger.
Transmission- $1500, converter $350.

Cracked or damaged blocks
Cracked or damaged Cylinder Heads
Dropped Valve Seats on Cylinder Heads
Spun bearings on crankshaft beyond repair
Cracked or damaged transmission cases
Fire, Water or physical damage to fuel system or turbochargers
